Three People I Believe In

11 February 2010 10 Comments

I’m really blessed to be consistently surrounded by people who are incredibly gifted. But more than gifts, I have friends in my life that are full of great character, are hard working and all around stellar. Here are just a few of those people.

daltonMy roommate and friend, Michael Dalton. He’s a talented writer and filmmaker. He just knows what looks good and how to capture it. And he gets things done. If he says he’s going to do it. He’s going to do it. And on top of all that camera talent, he’s a servant. I saw him this morning moving a bunch of chairs to make way for a serving project called Homeless Connect this morning and as I type this, he’s out leading a group to help people discover their true identities. Here’s some of his work.

Oh, and he was listed as one of Orlando’s Ten Coolest People in 2009.

sean-curranNext, Sean Curran.  He’s a fantastic musician and a great worship leader.  Over a year ago, he started leading worship for thElement, a student ministry in Orlando, and over the last several months, that band has formed into Bellarive.  Michael shot this video of them two weeks ago.

candipsCandi Pearson-Shelton is a friend of mine who lives in California.  A few years ago, her brother, Rick died pretty quickly after being diagnosed with cancer.  Last month, she released Desperate Hope, a book which chronicles the journey through Rick Pearson’s death and the glory of God in the midst of tragedy.  Not only is she a writer, but she’s an incredible singer and worship leader.

You have anything awesome to say about these people?  Or
You have anyone you would add to the list?

These are 3 great people from what I hear. Although, I hope someday to make this list of yours. Probably if it was titled 100 people I believe in, I'd make the list.

    Cole,

I saw Candi Pearson-Shelton perform at the Orange 2010 conference and I was blown away. I've been searching all over to try to get a copy of her CD Haunted by Eden since. I ordered it off of her website (www.candilion.com) but my money was refunded because she isn't signed up to receive money from PayPal and that is the only way listed on her website to order the CD.

Could you please pass on my e-mail address to her (sflbarry@yahoo.com) and ask her or someone she's connected with to send me a note letting me know how I could order a copy of the CD.

Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.

    Barry
